Hello Again

It's been a while since I last blogged. I've been very busy. :)
Opening night was last night. It was FABULOUS!
I'm curling my hair right now and not talking because I've used my voice so much that I need to give it a rest.
So, while I am not singing at the moment, I continue to sing alllll the time. :)
This is hard. :P
Come see the show, it's one that should not be missed.
Well, I must continue readying myself for show number 2. :)

A Midsummer Night's Dream

So, I've been here at the Arbor for a while now. And it's been fantastic! Making new friends, memorizing Shakespeare, doing all that awesome stuff!
I'm playing Hermia in our production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, being performed this November. First two weekends. Don't miss it!
I am also working with a new voice teacher, her name is Heide. She is very cool. :) I think I'll be growing a lot with her.
My new friends include Ben, Levi, Maggie, David, Carris, Kaleigh, and other awesome people! Levi is the very nice guy I get to fall in love with on stage over and over again. He's cool, and we're really enjoying getting to know each other. I feel like we're building a great friendship. :)
Ben is the guy who wants to be with me but ends up with the girl he's really meant for, and we're getting very close. It's really cool to be able to have close guy friends with no expectations. :)
So, yeah, I guess that my life is pretty uneventful. Lots of play practice and reading Shakespeare and memorizing his words. :)
I feel like this is going to be a really fun year. :)
Until next time, keep on singing!! :D

SAU

Well, I'm all moved back at Spring Arbor University.
It's a very strange feeling. I'm living in a new building, so it's very different than last year. I feel like more of an adult now. :P Having my own bathroom in nice. :)
I'm the spiritual life advisor for my floor, so that's exciting and intimidating. But it'll be good. I've been praying a lot. :)
Krista is my RA and she themed the floor "Bold and Beautiful" with peacock feathers and beautiful picture frames decorating the walls.
This should be a good year. :) A busy, stressful, tiring, but good year. :)
And as always, I keep on singing. :) You couldn't get me to stop. :P

Back where it isn't 115 degrees!

Well, we're back on solid ground. Man is it nice to be out of the car after spending almost 2 weeks in one. The trip was a great success! :) We were able to spend a lot of time with my Nana, who continues to recover more and more each day, see the rest of our family down there, and have some fun. :)
On our way to Kentucky for Mike and Melissa's wedding, we stopped at the Grand Canyon. That was amazing. It was truly awesome, as in the real definition of the word. :)
We got back, had a nice, relaxing 4th of July. Celebrated my Dad's 53rd birthday, and now are trying to find things to do with ourselves. :)
I still have some great summer plans coming up, but, for now, I'm relaxing and listening to music I can sing to. :)

Phoenix, Arizona

Yep, that's where we're going. My mom, dad, Clark, and me are about to start a very long road trip down to see my Nana. It should be fun. :)
I'm all packed and just waiting to put it all in the car so we can start our trek across the U.S.
We'll be gone until the 4th of July pretty much. I'm hoping my dad buys some sweet fireworks in Ohio, since we'll be driving through it on the 3rd. :)
I'll be singing at Mike Kramer's wedding on the 3rd, so that's going to be fun. :D
So, safe travels to anyone else who is traveling. :)

And the beat goes on

It's crazy how fast life moves. It's almost Father's Day, and we leave the next day to go to Arizona. Everything just moves so fast!
Kyle, Clark, and Dad all got home safely. That's a blessing. :)
My Nana is being moved to her own home now, she hates being at the rehab center and it's not improving her health any, so Dad and Aunt Kathey decided it would be better for her to be home where she could live at her own pace. And that's where Nana wants to be if she goes, which, unfortunately, it seems like that might be sooner than later. Prayers are very welcome.
I have been in a Coldplay and Incubus mood lately. So I've been listening to them a lot. I love both bands. :) Incubus has been my favorite since middle school. Just saying. :)
So, summer continues to be beautiful and music continues to be awesome. :)
I guess that's all for now. :)

Oh summer, how I love thee!

Well, I am very excited about the next two days. :) My Dad will be coming home from Arizona tomorrow, he's been gone for two weeks now. And Clark and Kyle will be coming home from Egypt on Saturday. They've been gone for almost a month. I miss my men. :)

Recently I've been getting closer with my sister Katie Faye down in South Carolina. :) We've been talking on the phone a lot more lately and I reallllly love it! I miss her so much! I hope I can get out there to visit her sometime soon.

I've been really appreciating the joys of music lately. I got the wonderful chance to sing on praise team with my Mom last Sunday, it was incredible! I love singing with her! She has the most beautiful voice and hears harmonies so well. It's so great when I get to do that! And this Sunday it will be Me, Jim, and Jeremy singing. Which means I get to sing harmonies when I hear them. :) I love getting that chance. :)

So, I continue to sing. And continue to love it. Though I do need to do my voice lesson stuff... :) Ah, well, it will come with time. I hope. :D Ta ta!!
